Maria Krawczyńska

CSR & Sustainable Finance Department Director, Member of the Management Board of the BNP Paribas Foundation in Poland

Sustainability, ESG, CSR, sustainable finance expert and practitioner. From November 2021 member of the working group on developing a uniform sustainability reporting standard for the EU as part of the EFRAG work (PTF-ESRS). Member of the ESG Committee of the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

Since 2017, she has been responsible for management and implementation of the CSR and Sustainability Strategy and integration of ESG aspects into the business goals of BNP Paribas Bank, as well as development of the area of sustainable finance. The effectiveness of actions taken was confirmed, among others, by the Bank winning the 1st place three times in the general classification of the Responsible Companies Ranking 2019, 2020 and 2021, as well as by numerous awards and distinctions in the areas of responsible business cand sustainability. Initiator of the Green Change Bank program. Member of the Management Board of the BNP Paribas Foundation.

Previously in the Deloitte Sustainability Consulting Central Europe team, Maria was responsible for projects in the area of non-financial reporting and strategic CSR/ESG management, carrying out projects for business and institutional clients in Poland and the CEE region.

She also gained professional experience in the field of corporate social responsibility in Tchibo Warsaw, in corporate philanthropy in the Polish Donors Forum.

Alumni of the League of Responsible Business. Graduate of economics at the University of Warsaw and management at the Warsaw School of Economics.

A student of Ph.D. studies at the College of World Economy of the Warsaw School of Economics. She completed the Sustainable Finance course at the University of Cambridge.

Privately an active social activist and volunteer. Deeply believes in the synergy of business and social goals, with the motto "the human being first".
