At Generation Female non profit Association (“Generation Female”), we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and are committed to the 2018 GDPR standards (General Data Protection Regulations).

HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM YOU?

Generation Female collects the personal information you provide to deliver different services such as information newsletters and information on campaigns. The data are collected based on Generation Female’s legitimate interests to keep you updated on the Generation Female’s activities.
What type of information is collected from you?

If you make a donation online, we do not hold your card information, it is collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

Third-Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may need to pass your information to our third-party service providers, agents, subcontractors, and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to send you mailings). However, when we use third-party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond the Generation Female network for them to use for their own direct purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.
For auditing purposes, we may show attendee lists obtained at events to donors for the sole purpose of verifying that funded events took place.
When you are using our secure online donation pages, a third party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, processes your donation. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent.

NEWSLETTER
Our Generation Female website offers you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. The newsletter provides you periodically with information about our work and our activities. To receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address. When subscribing to our newsletter, we will store your IP address as well as the date and time you subscribe. This serves to protect us in the event a third party improperly and without your knowledge makes use of your email address to subscribe to our newsletter. We will not collect any other data. The data thereby collected is used solely for receiving our newsletter. You may cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe bottom.
POSTING ARTICLES, COMMENTS
On our Generation Female website, we offer you the opportunity to post articles, comments in relation to your organisation. For this purpose, the IP address of the user/internet connection subscriber is stored. This information is stored for our security in the event the author through his/her comments infringes against third party rights and/or unlawful content is entered. Consequently, we have a direct interest in the author’s stored data, particularly since we may be potentially liable for such violations. No data is transferred to third parties. Nor is any of this information matched to any information that may be collected by other components of our Generation Female website.
HOW YOU CAN ACCESS AND UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION
The accuracy of your information is important to us. We are working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. If you want to be completely removed from our database or if you want a restriction of your data processing, please send an email to admin@generationfemale.net or alternatively you can use the unsubscribe button.
If you are a member of the Generation Female association, please be aware that if you request to be removed from our database or to limit our access to your data, this may impede or discontinue our ability to contact you for the purposes of inviting you to or apprising you on convened meetings or any other activities or decisions of the association, and we will not be liable for any loss of communication or membership rights and privileges that may occur as a result of your request.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information Generation Female holds about you (there will be no charge for this request).
If you are concerned that we have not complied with your legal rights or applicable privacy laws, you may contact the Commission for the Protection of Privacy https://www.garanteprivacy.it/home_en, which is the regulator responsible for data protection in Italy, where Generation Female is located.
PERIOD OF STORAGE
Generation Female will store your information as long as you use our Services or you are a member of our network and until five years after your last use of our Services or the termination of the membership.
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE TO PROTECT THE LOSS, MISUSE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR INFORMATION
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it is treated securely.

USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS WITH ANONYMIZATION
Our Generation Female website used Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc., hereinafter referred to as « Google Analytics employs so-called « cookies », text files that are stored to your computer in order to facilitate an analysis of your use of the site.
The information generated by these cookies, such as time, place, and frequency of your visits to our site, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google’s location in the US and stored there.

USING STRIPE AS A PAYMENT METHOD
If, while completing your donation, you decide to use STRIPE as an online payment service, your contact details will be sent to STRIPE during the order process. STRIPE assumes the function of an online payment service and trustee and offers buyer protection services.
The personal data transmitted to STRIPE usually includes your first name, last name, address, telephone number, IP address, e-mail address, or other data required to process your order, such as invoice amount, percentage taxes and invoice details, etc…
This information needs to be transferred to process your order using your chosen payment method, mainly in order to confirm your identity and manage your payment and the customer relationship.
Please note the following however: STRIPE may also pass on your personal data to subcontractors or other affiliates, to the extent necessary for fulfilling the contractual obligations arising from your order or for processing personal data in your order.
